Change Plex quality to Original/4K so you Direct Play instead of transcoding. Install the Plex APK on Android/Fire TV with code 907463.
Plex lets you watch movies, TV shows, and other media on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or smart TV. To get the best playback experience, use a Plex player specific to your hardware and platform.
Unless you have PlexPass, there's a small one-time fee (around $5 USD) to activate the Plex player on some platforms like iPhone and iPad, as well as Android phones and tablets. This fee unlocks the player on all devices associated with your account. All other devices are free to use.
Plex itself is perfectly legal — it's just software encompassing servers and clients. You can stream content anywhere without worrying about copyright notices or needing a VPN.
Open the settings / quality menu in the Plex web player or your Plex app.
Choose Original (4K) or the highest available — never "Auto."
Make sure Direct Play is On and Allow transcoding is Off.
Set subtitles to None — subs can force a transcode and drop you out of 4K.
Streaming at Original quality = Direct Play. You can run any number of Direct Play streams on all Duck Entertainment plans. Transcoding (below original quality, or with subtitles) burns the 2 concurrent transcode stream limit on the $10 plan.
Set the device output to 4K first, then the Plex app quality to Original/4K.
Use the Downloader app (from your App Store) and enter code 907463 to download and install the Plex APK.
